The Christmas Cheer All Year program was founded by television news reporter Rick Lozano and his wife Heather. Their goal was to expand on an existing program they had operated for years under a different charitable organization.
In its infancy, the program was simple. The Lozano’s wanted to reach as many underprivileged children as possible during the Christmas season and treat them to an exciting shopping spree during which the youngsters could purchase their very own toys.
As years passed, the Lozano’s witnessed so many needs in so many areas that they simply could not sit and do nothing. Thanks to some guidance from their dear friends, Tom and Willie Jordan, of the famous Fred Jordan Mission of downtown Los Angeles, Rick and Heather created their own non-profit organization Christmas Cheer All Year, with hopes of taking the joy of the Christmas season and reaching people in need all year long.
